Find a nice comfortable place where you will not be disturbed for the duration of the session and make sure you are in a ''Do not disturb'' zone. Have your devices on silent and close your eyes, either sitting up or lying down, whichever is comforting.

What else can I expect as a physical sensation during a remote reiki session?

If you are sensitive to energy and have experienced 'sensing’ or ‘feeling' energy before in terms of tingling, heat, pressure, etc., you'll be able to feel it just as though you were with the practitioner.

Are there any specific steps to follow after the session?

Yes, whether you feel it or not, the life force energy begins to flow right after the session ends, and having a glass of water helps as water has healing properties and can ease the flow of life force energy. We recommend keeping an open mind for the next 2 to 3 weeks after the session as this energy flow begins to remove energy blockages. You might feel much more emotional than you are usually or may become more sensitive to sights and sounds around you.

What are the benefits of a remote Reiki session?

Reiki can be used in emergencies, and it can be performed on clients who live anywhere in the world. This way, the client can receive Reiki healing energy staying in the comfort of their own home. It can also be performed on young children and animals (you don't have to bring them into the office, and they do not have to be still) as it aids in reducing anxiety, bringing in more relaxation.

What if I do not feel anything during or after a remote Reiki session?

The flow of energy can often be very subtle. For some, it may feel very intense at first and then gradually settle down. But for others, the flow feels almost invisible, and it takes practice and regular healing sessions to notice it and feel confident in what you are handling. Regular healing sessions will bring a more vital awareness of the flow of energy over time. You will tune in to the flow as you and I as a practitioner work with Reiki so that you will become more familiar with it and how it shifts and changes. You will also start to see the healing working within you, confirming that the distant healing is working. It is like any other tool—the more you use it, the better you understand how it works, and the more competent you feel with it. It can also help keep a journal to record how you feel and a few specifics of how your life is going for the first few months after receiving remote Reiki. Your daily journaling can give you a record of the subtle changes that can be more difficult to see daily.
